Melissa Robinette Ball, O.D.
Melissa Robinette Ball grew up in London, Kentucky, and is a 1988 graduate of Laurel County High School. In 1992, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky; and in 1996, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After graduating from Optometry School, she began working as an associate in a group practice in Manchester, Kentucky in order to gain experience. In 2000, she opened Professionals in Eye Care in London. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the London/Laurel County Chamber of Commerce, and Corinth Baptist Church. She is also the proud mother of Trevor James Ball (TJ), born June 4, 1999; and Trendon Matthew Ball, born June 28, 2001
Her practice style is very personalized, comprehensive, and friendly approach using the highest technology equipment and attending frequent continuing education courses. One of Dr. Ball's goals are for each patient to feel at home in her office and to take leave feeling that they have had the most thorough eye exam possible.

Jim Ball, Office Manager
Jim does most of the bookkeeping work, handles many of the office duties, and oversees the duties of the staff.

Mindy McIntyre, Receptionist
Mindy will likely be the first person you encounter when you visit our office. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. She schedules appointments, checks in patients, makes sure the office runs smoothly and efficient, and checks out patients after they receive care.

Heather Paul, Optometric Assistant
Heather works closely with the patients and assists the doctor by doing the initial part of the eye exam called pre-testing. She also is there for those that wear contact lens. She helps with the fit and ordering of all contact lenses. She enjoys her job and helping others.

Alina Hope, Optometric Assistant
Alina works closely with the patients to make sure they get the help they need. For those that wear glasses she is there to help with the ordering and fitting of all frames and lenses. She has fun with what she does and is a great help.

Jennifer Reid, Billing Specialist
Unlike some other medical administrative workers, coding specialists do not provide any hands-on care. They assemble and maintain patient records, review transcriptions and interact with physicians to ensure all relevant information has been recorded. Jennifer processes all billing transactions and issues billing adjustments. She works with the compliance of department on all DOI inquires to process past due invoices and failed billing.
